Atlanta, Georgia, August 27- The Black Tie Soccer Game celebrates its fifth edition on Sunday, October 6 from 1:30 to 6 p.m. The annual tongue-in-cheek fundraiser, benefiting Soccer in the Streets, returns to Midtown Atlanta's historic Grady Stadium. Four teams, dressed in their "finest" tuxedos and ball gowns, will be competing to win both the tournament and the coveted "Best Dressed" award.
Teams will also be competing to raise the most money for the kids and programs of Soccer in the Streets. The organization empowers underserved youth through soccer, character development, mentoring, and employability programs. In the past year, over sixty current participants or graduates have received paid employment experience as coaches, referees, event staff, and administrators with Soccer in the Streets.
Following the entertaining matches, attendees walk right across the street to Park Tavern in Piedmont Park where they can mix and mingle with the players, enjoy a delicious fare off the menu, cocktails, a silent auction, and much more. Tickets to the event at Grady Stadium are $5 and will be available online at
www.blacktiesoccergame.com. The after-party at Park Tavern is free to attend.
